Okay I get it: Women secured the right to vote without the tradeoff of being signed up for the draft. There are also loads of jobs women can (and have) done in the military that don't involve combat, keeping our strongest soldiers on the frontlines and our other soldiers in the back, repairing tanks and cooking and administering medical help, etc. I get it.

But realistically speaking: Who is going to look after the children? How do we make that decision?

So hypothetically both a man and a woman have to sign up for the draft, and they have kids...Then what? Do they decide between the two of them who stays home with the children? Are they both required to serve? Is there a special condition for women who are married and with children? Do they just bring the children with them to a military base? Is there a special daycare? But wouldn't that put the children in harm's way unnecessarily?

It just seems funny to me that in dozens of hours spent listening to Karen Straughan, Paul Elam, et al that no one's even touched on this. BOTH parents obviously can't go to war, so how do we decide which one? How do we decide who gets special treatment?
