There's no reason not to try. This takes like, what, two minutes to participate in? Even if the odds of success are really low, it's worth the attempt. I have two minutes to spare, so I'll sign this. And so should everyone else here who lives in the U.S. and can afford to spend two minutes.

Edit: made comment a bit less pessimistic.
