Hey guys,
after a long, in-depth consideration and cost-benefit analyses, I've decided to apply the 101 MGTOW approach: to never marry, remain childfree and stay careful to avoid falling under the co-habitation laws or any situations which would limit my self-ownership. Having said that, I haven't crossed out the possibility of pursuing short- and long-term relationships with women; I am a 27-year old guy, sort of average in terms of attractiveness, compensating that with interesting intellectual passions and sense of humor, I've been in one LTR and I stay open to improving my Game/SMV with healthy things that would also improve my overall quality of life. I just prioritize my other life goals, independence and clear boundaries to avoid compromising on my identity and life goals. There are still few open issues I haven't resolved. Could you help me with them?
As a sensitive, romantic, jealous person I find it extremely difficult to sincerely resolve the anger phase (my bet is that >95% of guys do it superficially by aversive conditioning and flooding themselves with vitriol, while the fundamental dependency and breakdown remains heavily suppressed, not resolved in a cathartic way). Although the core concepts behind the Red Pill are valid and confirmed by quality studies, I can't really emotionally come to terms with the loss of ideals, dehumanization of dating market, male disadvantage and disposability. The worst part is the acknowledgement of women's (open) hypergamic nature and different, performance-based, opportunistic style of love. I've read "The Rational Male" and know that the burden of dealing with the former misconceptions lies on me, as my expectations do not match the reality. If you were really successful in this, how have you done it?
I have an anxious attachment style, strong need for closeness and care, and happen to struggle with anxiety, general weakness and psychosomatic complaints resulting from the general suspectibility and adverse life situations. Multiple treatment options may significantly help, but they'd probably never fundamentally change the person I am and my perception. How should I approach this issue, including finding my niche on the dating market?
I sometimes wonder if the manosphere bias (let's admit it, every single community has its confirmation bias, set of fallacies and failure modes) doesn't put me at risk of omitting something meaningful, experiencing negative long-term consequences or falling into some kind of trap, including social isolation and a lack of constant, family-like support in later life. If you had to take a look at the MGTOW/Red Pill/my stance through a critical, skeptical lens, what would be your advice?
Thank you so much for your insights.
