I would be inclined to come out with your fists raised. Make it very clear to the school that they have a duty of care to you as well as those making the allegations and will find themselves on the end of litigation if they do not uphold that duty. Do they same for the accusers. The worst thing you can do is look weak.

Are you involved in a court case? If there is a court case be wary of making any statements. What is important at this stage is not what people think but that you are cleared of any false accusations in court. In any case in such a serious issue I would not be asking for advice on reddit but talking to a lawyer.

Be truthful, answer any questions people have, (don’t implicate yourself), but basically the more transparent and coherent your story is, the more people will respond to it. Were there any people around that would’ve seen you both that night?

I would look for help from a trusted faculty member, who is a friend.

I was once falsely accused and I think I just got a slap on the wrist because I was friends with the manager.

Don’t. It will be used against you. Nothing you say will ever be good enough, you cannot reason with a mob. Keep your head down, trust your attorney. If after that, no relief, then maybe look into a statement.

Don’t. Get an attorney. Start documenting for a libel or slander case, quietly.
