AITA is a brilliant idea for a sub, overshadowed by the typical Reddit hive mind. They praise pregnant women like goddesses, who can do no wrong, treat gaming like neglect, call any guy who has values the arsehole, and offer some of the worst relationship advice I’ve ever seen. 80% of the sub now is ‘AITA for how I reacted’ and just seeking validation. It’s a brilliant idea, but with god awful execution.

I would say the guy is a bit of a dick for not letting his girlfriend know about the position but the school is pure ass for making their preference on gender. It should be merit alone.

Meh. She'd do the same. I say go for it and come up with a lie or something while telling her to apply to the same school. That way he's got his scholarship garanteed and she doesn't feel left out, and even has more probabilities of getting in since she's a woman.

He's an asshole alright, but he can be a clever asshole.

Hes an asshole for sure , like if he had told her first hopefully she would have understood . But not only going behind her back , this guy has broken their plans together. Its very selfish .
