I've just had my first win aka block and delete lol
Thanks to following FDS for the first time in my life, this LVM clearly outed himself by the third date. This guy was pretty smooth, but particularly after finding out that he was a real estate agent, I was on high alert for amber flags.
On paper, he's HVM. Well established career, own home, organised, thorough, reliable. His text game was A-grade. He was sending me a good morning text every day, without fail, for the almost 6 weeks we were in contact. He would then send me a few texts through the day, initiating all contact, including calls. Every evening he would say good night. At the end of our first two dates, he made it clear he would like to see me again.
We had a lot of conversations via text, and on the phone, prior to our first date. (OLD - we are both in our 40's and busy, and have kids, so were talking for 3 weeks before we decided to meet up, and then organise spare time) He had talked about having done counselling after his marriage ended, and showed a good level of respect for boundaries and had his own also.
And then the third date. He did not even book anywhere for dinner. I was aware that he was heading for this, as he had hinted at wanting me to plan previous dates, and I had deflected it back to him. So we ended up going to a (nice) pub bistro, I had to point out that it was open. He hadn't even bothered to google - but - he hadn't booked, so we had to sit in the bar section. Ew. No apology. Despite constantly self-congratulating on being a pro at planning and time management. Did not apologise, despite saying that he had noticed my facial expression when the waitress had said we would have to sit in the bar section. Did not compliment me. Did not even ask about my day - or even one single question about myself. He couldn't wait to get out of there, and wanted to walk somewhere under guise of looking at cute old bluestone house he had auctioned 5 years ago, but also just wanted to make out.
When he was dropping me home, instead of saying he wanted to see me again, or that he would like to make another date, he said, I'm home alone on xyz dates next week. And had made multiple comments about how there was nothing to do near his place, no restaurants (he claimed that the bar part of the pub bistro was better than anything in his town, which is bull).
So glad I had FDS guidelines so I could ditch this low effort man with no guilt, and without attachment or confusion. After an emotionally abusive marriage, that I have worked hella hard for the past year to recover from, this place is exactly what I need. Big props :)
