I agree with the OP, and with this response. It can be an outlet or it can be a crutch or addiction. Like alcohol and women, it's reasonably safe in moderation, but safer in abstinence.

The worst thing about porn is that some people can't tell the difference between reality and fantasy. Such people will end up expecting a plumber to arrive 5 minutes after being called and do the job for a piece of ass instead of charging an arm and a leg.

I couldn't agree more with you. I'm not afraid to admit that I've been addicted to porn before. In fact a lot of people are. I would spend so many days and hours watching it because when you start it's hard to quite. You have a huge variety to choose from you can imagine your dream girl whatever you want and then actually see her in a video or pictures.
I hate how many days of my life I wasted watching that garbage. One day I deleted all of it. Restated my settings so it wouldn't show up as easily in search bars. Since then I've accomplished so much more in life and I'm so much more happier.

Yeah but that's for actual skills, not a leisure activity like watching porn.

Meaningful is relative to each individual.
Why are you choosing porn as the thing to cry out against? There's also alcohol, tobacco, drugs, gambling, graffiti, and (arguably) television and video games (and more).
But why is porn what you're focused on?
Let us enjoy what we choose to, without being judgemental of how we choose to enjoy our own lives.

WTF is a porn addiction site, and how do you know young teens are on them?
Porn is not "openly promoted without any consideration for the damage it does." And there are guidelines about where porn and porn ads can be shown and accessed. Disney.com isn't displaying porno ads on the side.
Please answer my questions, without obfuscating the issue even more.
