They actually do, sadly, but on a vastly different scale than what they clame. Friendzone is a thing, orbiting is a thing, manipulative, opportunistic, predatory people from both genders are a thing, but only a marginal thing. That can be the tricky part of getting out of TRP for some. If there are a lot of gold diggers and pseudo/proto-FDSers around you, and you want to date, TRP theories will appear valid, and you’re gonna get dreaded and abused unless you either GTFO or dread first.

Fortunately, once you look past that, you realise that this is a scary minority, that definitely does not encompass the whole dating market, and you can go on with your life alongside well-rounded, balanced individuals.
