I’m working on the new apartment. A hurricane is supposed to hit tonight. My thoughts are on if my kids and STBXW prepared. If I was at the house, I would be taking thing that can blow away inside, making sure portable lights worked, etc. She’s made it clear that she can take care of things herself. How different from when we first got together and did everything together.

Edit: This brought up a new conflict within me. In my old “family” I was the one that would prepare for crisis, repair things, etc. Now all I can do is wait and hope my STBXW can handle it. I know she has brothers and goos neighbors to help, but I still worry that I’m not there for my kids. The worst part is that I offered her help and got nothing in reply (Lately she’s been doing as little communication as possible).
