I've long held the belief that the hitting women is unacceptable under any circumstances is what causes lesbian relationships to have the highest rate of domestic violence. These women grow up knowing they can be abusive of even violent without physical retaliation, and they bring that into their relationship. When both partners have that mentality, it causes a lot of domestic violence.

Also, you weren't assaulted. That was at the very least assault with a deadly weapon, but more realistically, it was attempted murder. It may be cold, but even if you hit her and she died from it, I'd put you as not in the wrong because lethal force is acceptable in self defense against attempted murder. Your neighbor is just a cunt. Keep that in mind and try to avoid interaction. People with that mentality are dangerous and it makes it clear she would have no issue with you getting hurt.
