I remember all the feminist posts highlighting how great the female leaders were doing, and the posts of course included the Belgian PM.

I mean a quick glance at the numbers showed Belgium having less deaths than many other countries, but this of course completely ignored population size. In reality, even back then the per capita death rate in Belgium was one of the worst.

Title is very editorialized, and untrue. Belgium reports all suspicious deaths as possible Covid cases, making the absolute number skyrocket.

Comparing the mortality rate of March of 2019 with that of 2020 shows only a 20-25% increase over last year due to Corona, this is not a high number when compared to other countries in Western Europe.

As much as I agree that female leaders aren’t “doing better” Belgium is not doing that bad, they just count suspected cases and most countries... well they don’t count at all.
