It is common in some languages and places to use the masculine as a sort of "neutral gender".

In Portuguese, for example, the pronoun they can be either elas if you are talking only about women or eles if you are talking about a group that has at least one man.

YMMV, in the US we have "Romeo and Juliet" Laws which decriminalizes all relationships between people who are less than two years apart in age. So a 16 YO can have sex with an 18 year old going in either gender direction and no one can say anything about it, supposedly. Now guess if that's the way it's enforced, EVER.

What also gets me is if a male gets drunk and a female has sex but says she was pushed in to it then it's considered rape, despite the fact that she took advantage of a drunk male.

The DA in a friend of mine's city wouldn't push for charges against a female that had sex with him while he was passed out. From what they said is she had a better chance of filing rape charges against him then the reverse.

That's shitty. But also small reminder that the answer Google gives does not equal an official source or the actual law etc, but simply the most prominent result. Often it can turn out to be some person's 100% subjective opinion on some shitty blog or tabloid but it'll be presented like a fact. Google really needs to rework that feature.
