Promising Young Woman: Saw this trailer last night before BOP, curious of your thoughts

I was wondering when this would start getting attention around here.

I saw the trailer the other night during the previews for BOP as well.

The plot isn't completely clear but based on the trailer it looks like she was raped, nobody believed her, and now she lures men from bars by pretending she's drunk and therefore "easy".

My problem with this is the implication that women aren't believed and that men are the only ones who take advantage of people this way.

It paints men as being sexually predatory in a way that is overly misandrist and out of tune with reality.

If you ask me, it looks like it's full of anti-male claptrap... Basically Left Behind for the misand set.
