Reading that reply section is making me lose my faith in humanity. It’s literally filled to the brim with sheep pretending like they’re going to march over sob stories of women in America apparently being treated like sex slaves and people mindlessly shouting for impeachment with the rare comment pointing out the uselessness of the law. I even found a few people that were apparently glad that it failed, but only because it apparently changed the phrasing of “women” to “people” in at least one part, and that would mean men would be allowed into shelters too, and apparently that’s a no-go for these idiots.

It doesn’t do anything. It throws money at things with that being the title with absolutely no mechanism in place to judge or adjust funds based on the efficacy of the expenditures of funds. Literally useless. There’s loose requirements for the expenditure of funds, but it does nothing to ensure those expenditures are actually effective in their cause. Utterly worthless while simultaneously taking advantage of soft misandry by implying that violence against men is not deserving of funds or attention to prevent (albeit the body language of the act is actually gender neutral, but not the title, hence only soft misandry).

Ok but even if that was released and made an act, then the other half of the 2 million domestically abused dont get justice either..? Y'know.. since, in 2016 atleast 1.15 million men were abused domestically, whcih made up 51% of the abused in 2016.
