There's been calls for a few years to make Toronto it's own province because of the amount of undue sway it creates on provincial politics. The system we use here in Canada and Ontario is FPTP, which means you vote for the party and no votes for the leader. It's kinda the opposite of what's in the US where you vote for each level of government(house rep, senate, president). Republics work well, as long as they can hold to it. The general infighting makes sure that extreme types of bullshit has a very low chance of ever getting passed.

Things like our Westminister system only work as long as the senate works properly, one of the biggest and best ways to fix the current problems we have in Canada at the federal level would be allowing those positions to be voted on. Right now they're appointees, and I'm sure you can see the problem. The proposed system by many people is called a Triple-E senate if you're wanting to read up on it.

Is Doug Ford really different than any other man in being ‘an enemy of men’ as you put it?

By placing women and children first Doug Ford is embracing an aspect of masculinity and if masculinity is the cumulative traits of men how can he be an enemy of men?

This is why patriarchy theory is such bullshit - masculinity prevents men from exercising power for the sake of other men. A father works for the benefit of his wife and children not the man next door or the homeless man down the street.

You might want to rethink your position on making the traits of masculinity the enemy of man since it’s an inherent trait and will fall on, at the very least, deaf ears, and at the most, will be met with hostility, but either way you lose men from your cause.

You’ll do well to always remember that:

Name-calling is not a counterpoint.

Do you have anything to add that will result in a conversation about this because sticking your fingers in your ears and shouting names isn’t going to stop the fact that the vast majority of men are inherently masculine and masculine behaviour directly benefits women and children.

A man exhibiting masculine traits and behaviours can not be an enemy of men since the vast majority of men agree with his behaviour.

I’m behaving inline with my inherent traits that have informed my role in society but according to you that makes me brainwashed? Lol!

Radical feminism puts itself at odds with the average woman when they assert that women obeying their inherent traits and voluntarily adopting the primary caregiver role over a STEM career makes them the enemy of women. You honestly believe that men’s rights should adopt a similar position when it comes to men?
