Has there been any comparative studies done to show the effects on Companies that have single sex boards versus mixed sex boards?

I'm willing to say that a diverse board of qualified and experienced members, chosen for their abilities and not strictly gender, would probably rate higher.

If I'm investing in a company, all I care about is effectiveness and I don't give a hoot about the gender of the board. The underlying quota philosophy is silly.

All that said, I'm sure there are many effective women out there and I'm not going to lose any sleep over the issue. (Or non-issue.)
