because 'the best interest of the child' is merely the PR line, the excuse for child support, it's actual purpose is to disincentivize fatherhood.

when the state pays to support a child, it's ~600 a month. If the state were to pay child support as a father does, the first lucky child would receive 60% of the budget of the federal government, the 2nd would receive 15% of the budget of the US, etc.

If bill gates was slapped with child support, he would pay BILLIONS per month, because the purpose of it has nothing to do with the existing child, it's just to prevent him from fathering a second.

child support is just the brand name of Americas 'one child policy' giving it a friendlier face than chinas.

americas 'feminism' preventing girls from becoming mothers and 'child support' preventing boys from becoming fathers, like chinas one child policy, were imposed on the lower classes in response to 'the population bomb' which scared people in the late 60s.

If the dad gets custody then they (the mom’s) are supposed to pay child support. Neither parent pays if the kid is put up for adoption.

For the mother, the alternative to adoption/abandoning the child is to kill it and get rid of the body. Allowing her to abondon it at a safe harbor location cuts down on infanticide.

I can give you the real reason why.

Child support is nothing to do with children, the children are just a pretext. Child support is just another form of alimony.

People want to enforce provider gender roles on men against their will.

I'm confused why this principle doesn't apply to mothers that chose to have a child to term to then chose to abandon it at a safe place or put it up for adoption.

Because women are not responsible for their actions. Still confused?
