Half of all violent crimes against women are committed by someone they know, versus 38 percent of violent crimes against men.

Okay, I can buy that.

As for women, the familiar perpetrator is - more often than among men - their partner or ex-partner

The graph underneath this statement, which shows zero percent of men were the victims of violent crimes perpetrated by their partner, indicates that either they weren't looking at domestic abuse where men were the victims or it was a survey-style study and they cherry picked the men to ensure no men who were victims of violent crimes perpetrated by their partner would be among the people surveyed.

In either case, the objectiveness of study can be called into question for that alone.
