Hi,

I was raised by my mother and I have narcissistic traits, which I try to cut off for two years. My two brothers also value their appearance very much.

I stopped looking in the mirror for two years now because I realized that I'm somehow dependent on my appearance emotionally. If I was looking good I'd be happy if not then not (I mean my hair style, I didn't do make up but this was still pretty gay).

But a few days ago I had to check my face for a video project and I noticed that I'm emotionally affected by my appearance as if I were a girl.

Do you have any advice how I boost my self esteem and how to not define myself through my appearance and how others see me?

I mean I'm a man. I shouldn't do this garbage. And with this emotional dependence I'm not the most stable house in the world.

Girls don't play a role here.
