I can’t speak for everyone, but for myself personally the military has done nothing but benefit me.

I don’t know where comments like “being someone’s bitch 24/7” come from. There’s no difference in taking orders from your commanding officers than taking orders from your boss at work. In fact, I’d rather take orders from my commanding officers, as they earned their rank and have every right to tell me what to do if I’m fucking up in any way.

Before I joined I was an undisciplined, directionless loser. At no one’s fault but my own, I will admit, but the military has instilled so many values in my life and I don’t regret joining at all.

One thing I will leave you with if you do decide to join, stay away from all military girls (yes, all of them, and don’t get married (girls only see $$$ and benefits when they see camo).

You need to be a Canadian citizen to join the military.

If you are, great!

Do you even know what trade you want to pursue? Officer or NCM? What unit you'd wish to join? If you join, do you know for a fact that you won't be a liability to your unit?

Honestly, if you can't answer those questions, I'd reconsider joining. You can achieve a red-pilled lifestyle without the military. You just need to be disciplined enough to apply the core theory and work through the hard parts.

I cannot speak for the Canadian Armed Forces, but the American military is actually a very beta organization, far more so than you probably realize. It is being used as a social experiment by politicians who are more interested in making sure that everyone accepts gays and sees women as equal than they are in making sure America can defeat her enemies on the battlefield.

In my opinion military service is pretty stupid. Getting ordered around and perhaps sacrificing yourself in an artificially created war that does not matter is dumb. Not to mention the sacrifice you're doing is blue pill as it gets

Do it if you believe in service and if you want to be part of something greater than it's sum parts. Do it if you want to learn discipline and leadership. Don't do it for anything other than personal reasons. It's a huge commitment and if you're doing this to be RP, your reasons need further consideration.

There was this post on Reddit called I regret joining the military, he had some great points, although Americans will always be blinded by patriotism, I bet they don't even know what they are fighting for or who they are fighting for.

Why not serve until you can retire and draw a pension then join another state/federal and serve until can you retire. Wouldn’t you be able to double dip and draw 2 pensions?

In the US, it's a great way to pay for school if you don't have money. Otherwise, I'm not sure why anyone would join, unless they thoroughly enjoy blowing shit up.
