Briana Nashae Muhammad, 22, of Newport News, was sentenced by Judge Sarah Deneke in Caroline Circuit Court to 10 years with eight years and six months suspended.

So, Just year and a half in jail? And, Does she have to give the money back? What is even the use of a suspended sentence?
