Hello all, I was divorce a few years back and found this forum. It did help a lot with understanding and healing hence the post today.

My friend was with a STBX who hit him and would abuse him and the kids. I tried to be there and help him out. Today I was the "helper" for getting the carseats and what not.

Long drama story (that you've all heard/experienced) aside. Friend got arrested for assault. She dramatically threw herself to the ground, told the police he elbowed her. Claimed substantial enough for them to arrest him. Told them not to, they left and he was at my place. She changed her mind and re called them to do it.

Obviously since she had no issue lying to them and them believing her. That means I am in the cross fire as well.

Is there anything I can do for my friend?

And is there anything I can do to protect myself? I have not gone back and am currently in camera recoding environments and will remain so for the foreseeable future
