Currently, my country is no longer poor, but 20-30 years ago it was much worse compared to neighboring Western countries.

People from the west came to us in droves because everything was cheap here. The prices in our fancy restaurants seemed laughable to them, they could buy anything they wanted. So the roads near the borders were filled with prostitutes and brothels aimed at foreigners were opened everywhere because even paid sex was very cheap for them, and at the same time, my country has beautiful women.

Marrying a man from one of the rich western countries was a certain sign of success for a woman, she significantly improved her life economically. And it was also reflected in the films and culture of the time.

Nevertheless, I or my older acquaintances and friends never saw Western men as competition, rather as a resource. Yes, they went to fuck "our women", but they were still prostitutes. And the older or less attractive men who went to discos, clubs and the like to approach normal young and attractive women from my country were more like walking wallets than a threat. Because well, he got an attractive girlfriend and had sex with her, but it was in exchange for the fact that he bought drinks and entertainment not only for her, but also for her female friends and their boyfriends. If he was of no use and was just trying to pick up women, he'd probably just be beaten up by local boys or men, robbed of his money, and he'd be glad to go home instead of going to the hospital.

When you're young, poor and single, you have less to lose, and that in itself is a form of power. And poverty and the lure of money can force you to make compromises with your own morals that you wouldn't even think about making otherwise.

I have no proof of this but I’d imagine most trips are to Asia, South America and Eastern Europe in that order. I wouldn’t think of doing sex tourism in Africa having been in various countries there

They're taking the most predatory women who's main motivation is to bleed a partner dry. I see women try the same shit and get burned just as hard at least as often if not more, the only difference is a lack of moral outrage when some broke Caribbean or Latino dude becomes some senior nurses rent boy and cleans out her bank account.

I've been to Tijuana and they love gringos spilling their pensions on women who pay taxes on that fat source of revenue.

I also find it funny that a lot of lower and middle class gringas - especially those that just want to be more traditional or religious - snatch up Mexican guys because these dudes don't believe in any woke bullshit and they still try and woo women using very old methods like literally giving her token gifts, acting driven and motivated, taking her out, paying for everything and then taking her home, saying hello to her parents and then calling her latter to see how she's doing. Some of these guys do not fuck around when it comes to the dating game and their cowboy/ranch culture parties get wild as fuck yet the women try and stay aloof and distant while all the machos try and woo them.

When they eventually wife-up a girl they make her into a part of his family and she gains the network of his entire family - which can be pretty extensive. And since these more traditional guys work their asses off to provide the women spend all their time with their kids and raise them right and try to instill those same traditional-ish values. The moms all kinda network with each other to provided en masse for all their kids.
