To keep a long story short, my friend recently has been mentioning a lot about how redpill idols are “saving him”.
My friend had a terrible childhood, abusive and absent parents and really didnt have much of a childhood, just bad relationships all around. Into his late teen years he was severely depressed and it took a toll on him. Recently, in the past couple of years he has skyrocketed, going out more, working better jobs, talking and dating women, the whole 9 yards and he seems a hell of a lot happier. He tells me that idols like JP and Andrew Tate helped him make his bed in the morning and get active and eat better, just productive human things to do, and taking advice that is genuinely helpful.
Heres where the problem lies, his view on women are getting worse as he dates more. He claims these redpill people are his mentors and really im having a hard time telling him that while they do have good things to say at times, they are still extremely harmful to men and their views.
Any ideas on how to even start that conversation? So far its been “blah blah, (redpill name here)” then me going “that dudes fucking crazy???” And thats about it.
I wanna say im proud of him because hes truly grown up a lot and that takes effort especially where he came from, but i dont want him to fall into that pit, the echo chamber.
Any help?
