What, so if we're actually doing things for equality here, then male reporters should be given access to the women's locker rooms after the game, right? Right?

Oh of course not, because of privacy and modesty and basic respect, and all of it wrapped up in how prude our country is.

What pisses me off more is how they attack/vilify the usher - dude didn't know, and opted for the side of caution until someone above his pay grade gave him (and those reporters) the authorization. He's not paid enough to violate other's privacy - or care whatever diversity bullshit reporting you're doing - on a whim.

I have never understood why the players put up with it. I would not.

The whole idea of having reporters, regardless of gender, in locker rooms was stupid in the first place. The world is hardly going to come to an end because a story gets reported 15 minutes later. If all reporters are precluded from entry, there is no discrimination to complain about.

There have been a lot of reports of how badly athletes treat women. Maybe if those athletes were accorded more basic respect in places like their own dressing rooms, there would be fewer incidents.

If women do not show proper respect for men, how the hell do they expect to receive it in return???

No one, I repeat, no one should be allowed in the locker room of the opposite sex. Get your interview after these guys or gals are dressed and come out.
