Finally, someone who gets it.

Human beings in general are very selfish and solipsistic creatures. We only care about ourselves, and the people we are closest to.

The hens over on r/TwoXChromosomes constantly whine about how evil men are and how men are trash. The incels on obscure forums say the same about women and thier behavior.

How anyone can see both sides of this and not just come to the conclusion that humans are trash, is beyond me. Women are shitty and selfish. Men are shitty and selfish. Everyone is, that's life.

This is why I generally have stopped taking any of this shit seriously, and only participate for entertainment value.

Fucking bullshit. Today I helped a pregnant woman get to the maternity ward before she delivered. I watched 5 nurses desperately try to save a life and at least one cry when they failed. Someone offered me food, and someone else thanked me for what I did for them. Evil exists, and it is horrible. And the world is so full of people fighting to make everything around them kinder, stronger, and better than it ever has been. Humans aren't evil, we are beautiful, incredible, and flawed. But we have never yet stopped trying to be better, and despite all our flaws, we are winning.

Yeah, we're not great. But we can be. At the very least, some of us are trying and surrounding yourself with those people is one of the more worthwhile human goals.

We are just monkeys with an operating system upgrade and a slightly better processor and memory.

The one thing going for us is we are a pack like animal that requires feeling and being part of a group or tribe, we can't be truly selfish and psychopathic because it goes against group survival as a whole.

At the same time even the most nice virtuous person might be a scallywag , like for instance they donate to charity but they like to signal to the tribe that they do this and it gets recognition and so in that case even though they give money away they secretly or overtly wish this to be seen and praised and get a pat on the head.

The 'woke' crowd are a lot like this on social issues and you see this behaviour in a variety of places.

But thats a case in point , the psychopaths have no choice but to wear a mask of virtue with a halo on the head or else they can't function. That's all we have that stops us from breaking down into complete chaos is tribe/group formation and that we organise and plan.
