I doubt many of you follow women's football, but there is a story that sums up women in the workplace. The Spanish woman's team has lots of good players but they're shit collectively for their national side.

They have a male manager who they don't rate and they're trying to get him fired. Most footballers/athletes who don't like their coach get on with it, but the Spanish woman are doing things differently.

They're going above him and have created a petition in order to get him fired, they tried to keep it a secret but it got leaked by the Spanish FA because they wanted to show what was really happening. There have even been some players blackmailing others into signing the petition. This type of behaviour shows poor character and a complete lack of responsibility.

When the petition got leaked the players spoke about how they wanted this handled in private and how they feel undermined. Apparently going behind your manager's back to his superiors isn't undermining at all.

Of course, a lot of people see these women as freedom fighters because they've created a smear campaign against this manager as well. This might affect this manager's ability to get jobs in the future.

Whilst working with women I've seen this all too many times, but normally it's not about performance it's about personality. If they don't like someone (normally a male) they'll gather in secret and formulate a lie in order to get that person fired or in trouble. Women seem to think that if they don't like someone then it's ok to take their job and ruin their reputation.

It's happened to me before personally because naturally, I didn't fit in with the basic bitch clique in an all-female department, my female manager didn't even speak to me the entire time I was there. They gather in groups and they lie through their teeth together in order to justify their shitty behaviour, and they put pressure on other women to conform.

This is why you have to walk on eggshells around a lot of women in the workplace, one wrong move and you're being sent into an email complaint with your manager and their manager CC'd in. I'm supportive of women in the workplace but they really don't help themselves sometimes.
