Inviting a pandering snake-oil pushing cultist to a serious discussion is also not the greatest approach.

In 100 years the wisdom of the others I mentioned will live on, and their examples will be held up for many more generations. They've held sway in millions of people's lives, and dismissing them as irrelevant is just ignorant, while giving Tate more than the 15 minutes his antics have earned is frankly laughable.

In 100 years Tate will be completely irrelevant and forgotten unless he does something even dumber that gives him eternal notoriety. If he's remembered at all, it'll be for the wrong reasons. At best as a cautionary tale of how low people have stooped in their quest for likes/subscribes/dollar bills.

Unless you choose to believe that a guy who made his wealth selling cam girl ass to lonely dudes and then selling the cure for loneliness to those same dudes on the other end is somebody that should be taken seriously as a humanitarian, in which case you're already gone.

Why do liberals always assume that if you don’t bend over backwards their stupid icons you must necessarily be Thai conservative dweeb. I never said Andrew Tate was the answer, that’s just you projecting your assumptions onto me.

As to Benjamin Franklin, the very notion that in order to transcend your miserable life you must become a figure that’s greater than history is a stupid point to make, and is rooted in this liberal confidence that we can all be rulers and celebrated individuals. But that’s an stupid model to propose; it’s a long and flowery way of saying “maybe if you became the president of a nation you wouldn’t be a loser” which is self evident and a platitude.

The issue is about securing a modestly comfortable life for those of us who won’t become these historical figures.

You have this map to purpose which is retroactively validating, which makes it a super theory, that is, if you stopped being lonely is because you deserved it, and if you didn’t you simply didn’t do enough. Which is the liberal and individualistic model that’s apply to all facets of modern life; and it’s super comfortable because it perpetuates this idea that society doesn’t offer any benefits or privileges to nobody, and that everyone is self made, when in reality that’s not the case.

People should instead collectivize and focus on accomplishing at a large scale different entitlements that could actually improve the life of the majority of people. That is. Higher income for the working class, access to sanctioned suicide, free healthcare for dealing with conditions that might isolate you from others, better education so that you don’t fall prey to the dumb liberal worldview, more public spaces that foster social interaction, a reduced work week.

But you saying to someone lonely, idk bro, just become a person that’s going to be remembered for centuries is as stupid as saying to a woman demanding equality to just become Jean of Arc and stop whining.

My point was and still is that these men wouldn't have become historical figures - or anything other than the town weirdo - if they gave up on everything the very first time they looked in a mirror. You absolutely have to move past such an extremely self limiting hang up if you want any kind of satisfaction in life, sexual or otherwise.

You're spending an awful lot of words trying to twist what I'm saying including some unrelated tangent about liberals v conservatives and collectivism and Joan of Arc and I lost track of all the non sequiturs after that.

It's not over just because you can't get laid. You might fuck around and get laid anyway if you do something with your life other than cry about how unfair it is. Nobody's saying you have to wind up being an all time great to get laid. I'm saying that Ben Franklin was at one point just another young ugly nerd and had no problem getting his dick wet.

Liberalism is the idea that all social ills are remedied by individual actions instead of collective actions.

I mentioned Joan of Arc because under your way of thinking, women’s rights should have been solved by women becoming figures larger than life and overcoming their structural hurdles. Is the type of feminism that thinks Hilary Clinton is a feminist cause she’s a woman.

Again, not everyone can be Benjamin Franklin. Like by God, do you really adopt this exceptionalism perspective on everything in life? Do you see someone living in the street and tell them “dude, Ghandi endured great hunger and poverty, you won’t stop being poor until you get off your lazy ass and become jd Rockefeller”

It’s a stupid and unhelpful perspective. Utterly useless when it comes to societal changes.

Liberalism is not that, at all. If anything liberalism skews towards collectivism and individualism is squarely in the conservative wheelhouse.

And we're not talking about women's (or men's) rights. We're talking about their potential. Women were held back by the law, not themselves and a 'I should just give up' mindset.

Who's adopting an exceptionalism (again, conservative value) perspective? Who am I supposed to use as an example, Ugly Gary at the corner store who has a wife despite being 5'4" and buck-toothed? You don't know Ugly Gary. You do know the guys I listed. And all the guys I listed at one time - again - were not famous. They were just Ugly Garys. They made it out. But never would have if they'd given up before puberty was over. That's the part you seem to be purposely avoiding.

It's an extremely helpful perspective if you don't keep bending over and finding ways to reject it instead of taking two seconds to consider it. Everything anybody says in here gets called 'stupid' and downvoted the second it doesn't align with the group delusion.

I don't think I've ever seen a place on the internet where sense and logic are derided and dumb shit is amplified as much as this one. And maybe the Fox News comment section.

Get a better education.

Men are held back by the law demonstrably all throughout the world. Men are less likely to gain custody, they’re the primary victims of all sorts of violence, they’re else’s likely to get access to public funding, etc etc etc.

And again, your proposed mode of societal change is retroactive, so it’s a nice trick liberals use to always be right. If you fail at life you didn’t try hard enough, and the people who succeeded weren’t lucky or privileged, they only tried harder.

And yes, that man at the corner store who you are so ready to trivialize is the chore demographic at the heart of this discussion. Because the point is to achieve an improvement on the life’s of all men at large.

It’s just such a baffling position for you to take. Would you say to a black man that racism doesn’t exist because Obama was a president? Or do you tell that to women who complain about patriarchal oppression and use Hilary as an example? Such a dumb take.

People think that every man is a patriarch when they’re not. But that’s what you get when poorly educated white men project their privileges onto everyone else, and think that life is fair because for them it is therefore it is for everyone else. And society needs no changes, we only need to address problems at an individual level since our society is all perfectly fine and fair.

You’re caught between two discursive positions you are ignorant about, feminism and liberalism. If you actually do some reading you’d realize that both conservatives and liberals are liberals from a theoretical sense, and that not all men are patriarchs.

And that this fetishistic demonization of inkwells only serves to project the ills of patriarchy onto a group of men who have no power in society, and that aren’t the ones actively oppressing women, simply because inkwells are vulnerable.

I'm well aware and well read on the nuances of liberalism and classical liberalism. Your wiki link isn't some kind of mic drop. I'm pretty sure you don't understand most of what's in there, based on this exchange.

Another deflection from my main argument, a quick spin on your heel into more false equivalencies, then a quick peppering of only tangentially related wiki sources and then you wrapped the whole thing in pseduo-intellectual nonsense. Ben Shapiro would be so proud of you.

Nobody's talking about society as a whole in reference to your own personal self defeat. Society can't un-defeat you. You have to meet it halfway instead of expecting it to bring everything to you and dump it in your lap. Accept it or not, it's true. The door is right there if you want to walk through it, nobody's stopping you.

Your self sabotage is an individual problem, and one that can only be solved by you. Projecting and externalizing the one shortcoming that's squarely in your control as some sort of societal failure is the most liberal dreck I've seen in a long time.
