So I’ve been noticing that misandry is very prevalent nowadays. Not necessarily in day to day life, but across all social and mainstream media, pop culture, movies, TV shows, basically anything that is released nowadays has some sort of feminist undertones which I myself notice, but a lot of it goes over the average “normal” persons head. Then other times it’s blatantly obvious and shoved down your throat.

I think the recent release of the ‘barbie movie’ has accelerated my concern for this issue, as it seems to have taken the misandry up a notch. A very hateful and degrading movie towards men. Placing women up on a pedestal and I believe encouraging women to adopt a sort of superiority complex to men. Promoting a dystopian world for men where they are all useless, homeless, weak and lacking any purpose, self worth or self respect. Meanwhile women own everything, control all government and the men are subservient to them. Seeing men portrayed this way is not only uncomfortable but is almost a little bit humiliating as a man. And to see a movie like this not just released in cinemas but to also be doing massive numbers at the box office is quite alarming.

I’ve even seen posts on tik tok from unhinged women claiming the film was not misandrist enough for them, then I look at the comments and it’s a bunch of young women all verifying this bitter hateful statement and each comment has thousands of likes, all laughing and encouraging the idea of men being belittled, degraded and even oppressed. Seeing this stuff can be almost black pilling. Barbie movies main competitor at the box office seems to be another movie called ‘Oppenheimer’ in which one of the main characters is played by Robert Downey Jnr who recently said in an interview about the film when questioned about war and patriarchy by the likely feminist interviewer. “Men start wars, and the entire planet should be a matriarchy.” And that is an actor that was very beloved among men (and women) but I imagine after a statement like that a large proportion of men won’t be so fond of him as it seems he has sold out to the agenda. Some claim he was saying this sarcastically but I’m not sure he was, I think he was serious. Basically what I’m saying is it seems this anti-male gynocentric rhetoric is being pushed on all fronts. And many major celebrities are in on it, while young impressionable women take this message and run with it, with the backing of just about every government institution. A common theme regarding the hateful and misandrist rhetoric in the barbie film is it is always downplayed with the excuse “it’s just a barbie movie” but they know themselves if the roles were reversed feminists would be marching in the streets.

I’ve also noticed that when a man takes an opposing stance on the message of this movie, or opposes any of the other feminist propaganda we see nowadays. And he attempts to bring awareness to the fact that the real western world is not a patriarchy that systemically oppresses women and men control everything. But actually many women are high achievers. Get more opportunities and privileges than their male counterparts and the idea of female oppression they subscribe to is completely false and men actually have it much harder, it’s always dismissed, belittled and laughed at as if it’s impossible for men to have any problems in our current society. The same society where misandrist content is literally encouraged, and promoted, and over 80% of suicides are men, while women seem to be almost exempt from any criticism and are in some cases above the law. wow, go figure. I am really in disbelief with the current state of our world here in the west and how susceptible to propaganda some people are.

I’m writing this post to get some opinions from like minded men as to what the way forward is for men. We need some solidarity, too many men are happy to degrade their own gender and enable this misandrist content for the sake of pandering to women and it’s quite pathetic. I have a women in my life that I have been with for about 6 or so months. She said she wanted to see the barbie movie a few weeks ago before I even knew what it was or had heard of it, when I found out about the movie and what it was about, and saw for myself the message in it. It made me wonder whether she was aware of the feminist message in it or not. or if her wanting to see it was completely innocent and she does not subscribe to those beliefs. I’m hoping it’s the latter, and judging by her personality and the fact that I find her very pleasant to be with I think it is unlikely she is a feminist. I also don’t think she has seen it yet but I’m concerned that as good of a woman as she is and as much as I like and respect her, I believe content like this is designed to brainwash women into thinking less of the men in their lives. And encourage them to adopt hateful feminist ideals, and on top of all that i also just get a sense of embarrassment seeing men portrayed in this way. Being that I am a man myself, it makes me sick. of course I would never accept any negative treatment in a relationship of mine though, but the mere thought of it is uncomfortable.

I’ll also add that I’ve been seeing many job advertisements that have “female only” in the title. I work in a male dominated industry and there are diversity quotas for women. I’ve seen women fresh into the industry get gifted a good position with a high paying salary while I know men who have been in the industry their whole lives working in lower tier sectors and are earning less than half of what some of these women are being gifted. I was just in the gym earlier and that garbage brainwashing repetitive who run the world, girls!” Beyoncé song came on the speakers. I was at a restaurant the other day and between the 2 restrooms was writing on the wall saying “men to the left, because women are always right” Crazy stuff man. Even if some of these things may seem trivial and lighthearted it is constantly shoved in your face and the rhetoric is always anti-male and pro-female. I want to ignore this rhetoric and just live my life but it’s getting harder and harder to ignore. I want the best for men AND WOMEN. And I believe women should be able to do whatever they want with their lives of course. but the common trend we are seeing is men being torn down, discriminated against and belittled for the sake of elevating women into a higher position in society. And to us as men that is very problematic. I know this is all done by design and is no coincidence. Feminist citizens alone aren’t the ones making all these things happen they have the aid of people with far more power and influence who are pulling these strings. I’m just curious as to what you guys think men should do to oppose this and make men prosper as a collective again. thoughts and opinions are welcomed. Thanks guys.
