Because the amount of money the court rewarded is beyond ridiculous. She was asking for $100 000 000, and the judge awarded her $1 000 000 000 plus $200 000 000 for "mental anguish". The boyfriend did not monetize the pictures in any away. And hes not a billionaire. The previous highest amount for a case of revenge porn was $6 800 000, which was against a guy that actually built a website and monetized a library of videos of his ex, he made MONEY off it. So these ridiculously absurd amounts are nothing short of malicious judicial decisions meant to outlandishly accentuate the crime and make headlines.

There is no reality where a court of law should award these amounts for what amounts to an invasion of privacy. And it qualifies because its insanely biased against men. No court would ever award these amounts to a man for a similar case. We can't even get courts to get involved for aggressive stalking, doxxing, and destruction of character being committed by AWDTSM groups. Its fucking stupid as shit.

Revenge porn is definitely a really awful thing and it deserves proper punishment. This case is just a joke. I don't consider it something that will actually put a stop to it. And it highlights how ridiculously biased the whole concept of 'punishing' revenge porn is.

Because you know how many guys I know that are victims of revenge porn? Over a dozen. One of them was a library of pictures and videos his girlfriend took while he was sleeping. That she posted after they broke up. He tried to bring criminal charges against her and absolutely no one took him seriously. He couldn't even get a civil court case against her.

Women get ALL the sympathy in revenge porn cases and Men get completely fucking ignored. So as much as I agree that revenge porn is shit and shouldn't happen. I'm never going to feel anything but rage when I hear about a woman getting 'justice' for revenge porn when I know a man would get nothing.

Not sorry.
