I wrote about this a few days ago, didn't know how to put in the link to this post... Just writing down and ranting...

It is still unclear which neighbours did get the "goodbye letter" from my stbxw, but I now know for sure about at least 1 neighbour who got her letter...

My direct neighbour (A) is a sweet woman who tried to help me out and gave emotional support the past few days. She asked me in for a coffee for she had questions she said. So I drank coffee with her and told my side of the story (my stbxw visited her the week before she left).

After a while she said something weird happened to her. There are a few very strange neighbours here and we both have the same opinion about them. This neighbour (X) saw my neighbour A walking in the streets near by and stopped her rather aggresivly by bycycle which she never does. Neighbour X started asking my neighbour A questions about our seperation. My neighbour A doesn't want this to be her problem ofc and refused to anwser any questions while refering to me and stbxw; if you have any questions then just ask them.

My neighbour A said she is not amused by this and doesn't know why this is happening. I then told her about the letters stbxw spread around. It made click to her and she told me oh yeah, the other neighbour X was telling she heard this from neighbour Y, neighbour Y has been spreading this around. And neighbour Y surely hit her letter.

We both agreed on the fact the news is now unwantingly spreading around the block and will take a few weeks before it goes away. But it will go away.

Interestingly neighbour A told me that she asked my stbxw if she want to tell the neighbours about this or not and stbxw said she wants to keep this private. Which my neighbour A found the best way. I then also told her about the private content in the letter; about the custody arrangements, and my neighbour A was kind of shocked.

Totally crazy shit I think. People who normally only want to shit in your garden, now trying to find out details about our private life. Presumably to only want to laugh about you...

The letter had the exact result as I suspected them to have... she shitted in her old nest and then run off.... leaving up questions which would never arise and me having to deal with it...

She was terrible upset and infuriated by the fact that I complained about these letters... it showed her darkside. Those letters seperated us within a big fight... I went no contact, she knew that that would come... it wasn't needed to end in a big fight, guess she wanted it this way.
