Friendzoning

Some girls manipulate and use the men in the friend zone. Some men are very salty and rude about being friends zoned. Both of these groups are trouble.

It's funny because they make movies where the girl was friend zoned and now has a make over so it's OK to date her. Not so many the other way around.

My theory is basic gender roles and expectations. Men are the ones expected to initiate and therefore the ones who are at most risk of being friendzoned. They are expected to be able to accept and handle it. Men understand it takes confidence and courage, and they understand how devastating rejection can be. Because of this, acting salty after being friendzoned can be likened to bad sportsmanship after losing a game. At least, in societies eyes.

Women generally are not expected to understand this. They are the ones traditionally pursued, so them deciding to initiate is different, brave, and IMO something that should be encouraged. And they don't have that expectation of preparation to accept rejection. Combined with the "women are wonderful" effect, when a man gets rejected it's because of him and he needs to make himself better and when a woman is rejected it's because there's something wrong with the man.

That's my theory on all of this.

Men don't want girls to be in the friend zone. Unless she is providing girls he want.

A lot of girls want to friendzone guys because they enjoy having a guy that likes them willing to please them. Men don't care about this, we care about women we want to fuck.

Friendzoning someone is more than that. It manipulates a man into thinking that he might have a chance one day if he keeps giving his emotional and financial service to her while she never reciprocate to the same extent. Somehow, this is normalised.
