I don't get this argument when misandrists like to argue that the world and society by default is misogynistic towards women and men can never experience the same hardships. This is surely not true in the Western part of the world, where women are a highly coveted and protected class. Women's rights and welfare is always prioritized, we always hear about fighting misogyny and violence against women (and of course never the same for misandry and violence against men), women are always celebrated and we hear about having respect for them (but never men). There's establishments that also hire women or assign them positions on gender alone and not merit, and we get stupid divisive celebrations like International Women's Day (I feel the concept of a Men's Day is stupid too, FYI).

Factor into account other things like the ridiculous notion of "believe women" even when there's no evidence and how in the U.K. it's been seriously considered making misogyny a hate crime but not misandry, and how there's been calls for curfewing male civilians to keep women safe. And yet we hear the usual tiresome diatribe of how women are living in a misogynistic male-dominated world. It's tiresome and insulting, both to men and women alike; making men as usual out to be oppressors who hate women and also infantalizing women by constantly making them feel men and the world are against them. This type of thinking is equally misandrist and misogynistic, and accomplishes nothing.

I'm not saying misogyny doesn't exist as it surely does along with misandry, and both are terrible forms of bigotry that should never be acceptable or excusable no matter what. But claiming the world and society at large is misogynistic comes off as more misandrist victimhood and wanting to deflect from issues and inequalities affecting men and boys. The usual "women most affected, thus men don't matter" narrative and doing nothing but creating another pointless and divisive gender war. At least in the West that's surely not the case, and even in non-Western nations men and boys don't have it so great there, either. We hardly ever hear a peep about boys forced to become child soldiers at a young age.
