I don't think it is possible to focus equally on issues of everyone. This typically leads to beautiful talk and no action.

It would be nice to have mechanisms for activists for men and women to solve conflicts, respect each other (including respectful disgreement) and split the areas of responsibilities with necessary checks and balances. E.g. feminism shouldn't be tasked with solving men's issues, if they recognize them and don't try to suppress actions towards fixing discrimination of men - that's enough. It is better for us to own our own progress instead of hoping for them to fix it for us (because they will fix it the way they like it, which may lead to making men comfortable for women, instead of truely equal).

So I'd want to have women's and men's activists having their own resources, splitting the tasks, respecting each other (and not wasting resources on fighting each other). None should have ideological monopoly and enforce their vision. Instead of single entity we need a kind of bi-partisan system with checks and balances.

Communication failures are at the root of all the problems between the genders. More opportunities for people to develop their communication skills in a more positively framed space would help.

Some may oppose the idea with good reasons, yet others may oppose it due to their investment in their current views.

Most women who have received feminist socialization (most of them) are absolutely and permanently incapable of imagining that men have any issues (or feelings for that matter). We exist so they can take out their anger on us without hurting their own conscience. I love your idea but it’s absolutely impractical.

A movement that can effectively help men (at a decent scale) has to have the same „us vs them“ dynamic that feminism and really all larger movements have, both to keep men interested and to appeal to the natural human urge to have ingroup-outgroup-conflicts.

I personally think that this can’t happen until we

a) Acquire a similar sense of gender solidarity to what women have

b) Make our own issues more commonly known

c) Stop taking unreasonable amounts of accountability for things that could be considered personal failures. We feel very uncomfortable about blaming factors outside of our control for issues that are at least partially within our control, afraid to look like we’re looking for excuses for laziness (you can see the other side of this social coin in how women react when we raise issues, usually with some variant of „try harder“ or „go fix it“)

d) Cry more, maliciously. Perhaps the greatest advantage that feminism has is that women come pre-raised to be little crybullies. Women are not afraid to make their issues yours, women don’t hesitate, don’t stop to think „Do I really want to burden them with this?“. Women generally never feel bad about making you feel bad for them (and we should also stop doing so), they’ll do it as much as they can.

Am I envisioning a colder world? Yes.

Regarding feminism broadly speaking, I think you'll find more humanist allies among anarcho-feminists.
