Here's just an observation from someone who spent 20 years in hobbyist level of motorsport.

Racing, (real racing) is won with the brakes, not the accelerator. Brake feel and authority is what separates good drivers from marginal ones. It is the absolutely mind numbing audacity to keep your foot off the middle pedal till the very absolute last millisecond, when every fiber of your being is begging you to slow down. It is the complete lack of self-preservation to modulate that pedal with firm authority rather than heavy panic, and the translation of car to driver that brings down lap times.

If you want to see why women rarely make it to the top levels of motor sport - look only at who hits the brakes first, and how hard.

Don't get me wrong, there are women who are absolute legends of motorsport. And they earned every last bit of that glory, but the statistics bear this out - men are less risk averse. Men brake later in the corners.

A company that spends untold millions to win races considers a drivers genitals more important than the drivers ability to actually win races...

Formula one car requires 120kg of force to be applied on brakes. Most of the tracks have 10-15 corners, and have to apply that much force in each corner for 50-70 laps. Not only that the g-force on the neck felt is 3 times, 6x for certain tracks. And the drivers have to be in peak health consistently. And millions of dollars of investment are handed to the drivers by the team, and they expect that result. Some teams like redbull are so cutthroat they will throw out their driver in mid season if they don't perform as expected. Millions of investments, hours of calculations, testing, prototypes, and teams build a racecar and they are not going to hand it over to some woman who wants to prove themselves. They have a perfect place to prove themselves, it's called formula 2. It's a spec car racing, which means all the cars are almost identical only the skill of the driver is required to get that car on the finishing line before anyone else. And who are the top drivers in that series? It's boys, yes a lot of them are minors when they enter the formula 2 series. Formula one is a high risk high reward competition with a lot of financial backing required. There is no time for feminism and girl power. Look at this year's result Max verstappen won a gigantic victory with an unimaginable consistency. He made a history which his team mate cannot reach. His dominance has become a benchmark for his rivals. Not a man can challenge this dominance let alone a woman.
