Multiple pictures and remarks about the less than 1% of homeless in the line that were women. Empathy gap (sexism) is majorly showing here.

I would say this is a good example of how many male migrants there are. The article repeatedly said how most of the people are young men from Africa and the Middle East. The migrant issue is a tough one but one aspect that often goes overlooked is how many men are in detention or homeless. At least this article acknowledges the maleness of this situation in NYC.

The main issue here is that social safety nets are unable to keep up with an open borders policy. The vast majority of these men would be better off if they hadn't taken the trip.

The USA is a pretty sad place for men to come to if they have nothing I’m not going to lie. I miss the days of old where migrants from other countries had a chance but our economy is so over commercialized that to get into line it’s just absurd. I’m blessed I was born here sometimes I forget how much I am really blessed because my god it’s bad for outsiders. I’m not happy with the current administration at the state and federal levels all has been very disappointing and I think this next elect is going to be a shit storm.

I also want to chime in here that our vets are still not receiving proper treatment and many are on the streets. This HAS to change.
