UK social services in general are filled with lying dickheads who get all their information on how to raise children from textbooks rather than from practical experience. They force parents to jump through hoops to keep their kids, only to take them away in the end anyway.

They rarely seem to protect genuinely abused children from shite parents, often preying on families who simply need support through a rough patch. Even outside of children they don't seem to be much better. Sorry for ranting, I just have nothing good to say about them.

You wont get much help from the family courts here, mate. There's a reason there's a network that helps families get out of the country when they're targetted by social services. Well, there was (2012) not sure if this network still exists.

These social workers, in my experience, have usually made up their minds before getting all the facts. I'm sure people have encountered some good ones, but I never have.

If I were you, I'd get someone like a doctor on my side just in case they try to fuck you over through the courts. Family courts here are a joke, but having someone of good social standing and some authority to vouch for you can help you out. Maybe record your interactions with the social workers too.
