Maybe I'm just getting older and I'm slowly starting to see how bullshit and childish this "war" is. Seriously though.

All the finger pointing, name calling, accusations, and lack of effective communication is what all of this has been boiled down to. Both sides are effectively trapped in their respective echo chambers, being fed ego-building affirmations without any effective push back to bring anyone back down to reality. And like in any war, both sides end up losing something. Dating is all but dead, marriage is questionable, birth rates are falling and interpersonal relations between the genders is faltering.

Overall, I'm tired of it. No, each side shouldn't "go their own way." Why can't we have some difficult conversations if it means becoming a stronger union? I mean it, both sides have valid points and we're all lost and hurting in a broken system, but instead of coming together and working it out (like rational, social beings should) we point fingers, say "them first" and point to our problems and our wants first. Where's the empathy? The patience? The maturity? What do we have in their place? Rampant, unchecked misandry? Rampant, unchecked misogyny? I'm tired of both and I think I'll sit this one out.
