This is hard. I don't want to deconstruct a message like this when the destination is pretty close to the picture I myself advocate. But... the road we get there by, matters. Else it's far too easy to get lost.

The first half of this video was incredibly difficult to stomach. Error after error, regarding feminism, coverture, characters like Elizabeth Stanton, and so on. Those early feminists were not heroes; they were bigots in their own right, calling men animals and suggesting many of the same extreme "solutions" that Baggage points out later feminists advocate for. The ones that she objects to - those were not an invention of 20th Century feminists; that sort of discourse was present all along.

And coverture was not solved by them. It was solved by moderates, in the same process during which the legal system in America was streamlined (which is a fascinating part of forgotten history... did you know churches used to be used as a secondary court system? And I don't just mean the buildings. History, even in one small part of the world and one 2-3 hundred year time frame, is incredibly deep. But I digress...) Same for women voting; in fact, Wyoming gave women a universal vote, almost half a century before Pennsylvania did the same for all men (I'm referring to poll taxes and similar tactics here.) And this was not a choice imposed on Wyoming by the Seneca Falls council.

A similar plot exists for almost all of 'feminist' victories.

Instead of thinking that feminism was a necessary force for equality for women, instead of a constructive effort... they act more like ISIS would for Islamic causes. And while many Muslims may cheer their extremism, that does not make them representative of Islam, as many other Muslims would passionately - and rightly - object.

Further into the video, there are yet more errors and issues I have with how the situation is presented, particularly with how negatively men's advocates were described. I feel this is probably in part due to trying to appease her audience to ease swallowing the pill, but I think that's a mistake.

Also, she brings up the damned porn addiction meme again. I am so very tired of that. A puffed-up issue, almost entirely false or misrepresented, that is an easily used excuse to blame men for their own social isolation - and other real problems. I absolutely hate when people try to bang that drum. And titallating; the glee some people, especially feminists, have when disparaging men for porn 'addiction'... Ugh.

All of that said, however, she does bring up some extremely important topics, such as fatherlessness, custody issues, men's disenfranchisement, and the apex fallacy. There's a solid message here for people to find - just one buried within enough fallacies that it may ultimately be of no benefit. Time will tell.

So this video came out a few days ago from Baggage Claim. She has made some interesting videos on the Feminist movement in the past with parts many people, including myself, agreed and with some things that I myself and others did not fully agree with. Now there are some things some of you may disagree with in this video but I believe hit the nail on the head with many points here. I feel it is a very well thought out video and she does a good job at explaining the Feminist movement’s history and how it led to the damage in society that we have today.

She mentions briefly that the radical Feminist Shulamith Firestone wrote in a book that she believed that only true equality between men and women could only be obtained when men and women were no longer distinguishable, the nuclear family is eradicated, traditional gender roles were eradicated, and when women didn’t reproduce children with pregnancy but instead through pods. She also mentions that biological parents should not be raising the children but instead being raised by adults with no biological connections to these children.

Scarily enough, many of those things have been happening. We don’t have many nuclear families nowadays in the West with more children raised in single parent homes. The rise of transgender people has made it harder for men and women to be indistinguishable and we have been seeing a lot of traditional gender roles go by the wayside, for better or for worse. And oddly enough, I think the whole scientific breakthrough on bone marrow babies has potentially threatened the idea of men being needed for reproduction since apparently sperm cells be extracted from the bone marrow of women and because of the Two X chromosomes that women have, those babies will always be girls thus pushing the notion that men will go extinct someday.

Now she also points out how, when, and why we got to this point and it goes back to the introduction of the Birth Control pill for women and the legalization of Abortions in the 1970’s thus creating the Sexual Revolution. She even mentions how prominent Feminists like the man who created the Playboy Magazine, Hugh Hefner, also contributed to this Sexual Revolution with his influence. So because women could have sex as much as men apparently could in the 1960’s and onward, this paved the way to the consequences we are seeing now and how ultimately the Feminist movement would break out society.

So anyways, there is a lot to take in from this video but I wanted to make a discussion on it because we have been recently talking about how Gen Z boys are becoming more conservative politically speaking. Since there have been threads about that discussion from articles recently published about the Male Loneliness Crisis, as well as polarization of Gen Z Boys and Girls politically, therefore I think this video helps contribute with the mixture of facts and opinions in this video.

Now you might agree with some parts and disagree with others but I still think overall hits the Nail on the Head on this one.

This is a pretty blatantly conservative video. There's so much trans fearmongering, and the thesis seems to be, not that men lack empowerment, but that female empowerment should regress. The anti-abortion messages, even pointing the finger at contraceptives as a cause for societal unrest...jesus.

I think the salient point early on is when she's flashing through a reel of women being upset out of context (implying they're just angry man-haters), but if you pause you can see that the guy one of them is yelling at is holding a poster promoting theocracy.

That's the video in a nutshell. Scary imagery trying to get us to side with positions which, on close inspection, are vile. What a shitshow.

I admit I got a cathartic kick out of her modern female hero video and how tropey and lazy the hamfisted "strong female with no flaws and demeaning all men" was, but I made sure to put that video in a niche corner, because a lot of Hollywood writing on women is bad,which includes the feminist style.

But I never was interested in her range beyond that. She seems to lean conservative and it's unfortunate that videos like that can only be found in reactionary spaces because most of the left has chosen to abandon critiquing problematic aspects of feminism and how it's victim disposition, limits our view of gender(and children's issues as a side affects)
