I am meeting with my lawyer tomorrow for the first time, as I will be filing for divorce. What should I know to ask before walking in, and what have you all used in the past to protect yourself. In my case, I am fortunate that we have no kids. But we have a home, 2 cars, and many valuables that we will have to split. I’ve heard “no fault” divorces can be easily done and not more than $10k. I’m hoping it can end easily, but I am here for the horror stories, so I can understand how crazy this can get in the next few months.
