I'm currently a senior pursuing a Aerospace Engineering degree in college (M21). My entire life I've struggled with low self esteem, low confidence, and self worth. And recently I've been diagnosed with clincal depression and ADHD. This diagnosis has changed my life, I feel extremely validated but also terrified. Terrified in the sense that I can now explain my struggles with this diagnosis, but it means I need to actually fix them.
I have made multiple successful attempts on girls, but every single time it ends in me getting ghosted, lead on, or misinterpreting signals. It really bums me out, I put so much effort in just to be tosssed aside. I should also mention that I am fairly socially awkward, once the conversation has come to a hault I'm always scrambling for ways to continue it.
What I'm here to ask is, how do you guys build up the confidence to talk with girls you are attracted too? And how do you keep the conversation naturally flowing (either in person or over text)? For some reason I have this mental block where I want to go talk to them, but then I sike myself out (maybe due to ASD from the ADHD?).
Any advise would be greatly appreciated!
