When talking to girls through text, should you talk to them everyday? Should you avoid them for some days and text them only if they text you first?

If "Texting Everyday" is the best take, how are you suposed to mantain subjects to talk with her? Should you just send her a "good morning"/"good night" and ask her about her day?
