Dos and donts: - don't make your texts too long, - don't use to many emojis, - don't double text, - don't invest more than her, - do use statements rather than questions, - don't ask only about her, share parts of your life too (dhvs), - don't be her text buddy, instead escalate your messaging towards a date (follow formula below).
Formula: - if she answers positively to your messaging, escalate towards a date, - if she answers neutrally, give more value to the conversation (dhv), - if she answers negatively, back off (do not escalate), don't be butthurt, reframe it or make it light and simple, - if she doesn't respond, first wait for a while, then give more value to the conversation (dhv), and if it doesn't work - playfully call her out ("thinking too hard, I see" etc.).

display of higher value * Dude is right you should build up to asking her out, I send about 4 msgs the last one being if she up for a date or something.

Demonstration of higher value meaning you should present yourself as a cool person with an abundant life. This means you should show her things about yourself that will increase her attraction to you (of course, you shouldn't lie, brag or be tryhard about it).
This is just choosing how you want to present yourself. For example: - you can tell her how you had an amazing gym session (meaning you care about your health and body), - or that your ex cheated on you and left you for another man (meaning you have some unhealed "wounds").
Of course, first choice is more appropriate. Eventually, as you get to know each other it'll be easier for both of you to show your weaknesses and insecurities but you shouldn't go out of your way to do that right of the bat.

You think it's good to say your ex cheated on you?
This happened to me but I thought that girls might interpret it in a bad way.

No, I didn't say that. Read again. I presented that as a bad choice.

Hey dude texting and phone calls are ONLY to set up dates and NOT for chatting. When calling, do it for less then 15 minutes. Set a date and hang up. If you text then ask to meet with in 3-5 text replies then stop. When in the date let her talk 80% or the time and you talk 20%. Just keep asking questions. The point is "Shut up and don't talk them out of liking you"

I promise you don't need to have a "good chat" over text to get a first date. If you met in person, most of the legwork should already be done.
At that point you just need a couple texts to "re-break the ice", you can ask how their week's been, etc. Then you ask them out. The texts shouldn't need to be super interesting.
If you're talking about dating apps, that's a different ball game

Texting or online messaging should be to setup dates and that’s it. If you continue to go on dates and she starts messaging you throughout the day that’s a different story, but until then keep it simple and be straight forward with the date arrangements.
“Are you free Thursday night? I was thinking we could grab some drinks at _________ around 7pm” etc etc.

I don't know if I can get a date before getting her interested someway. If I can't get her interested I'm probably going to get turned down. As you can see, I'm not an expert, but I think that having a little conversation before setting up a date can increase the chances haha

If you’re just starting to chat I usually just go with the following conversation to get them comfortable before asking them on a date.
Hey, you’re sexy/pretty/gorgeous/etc. I’m ______, watcha up to?
What do you usually do for fun? - respond to what they say
What part of (where ever you’re from) are you in? I’m at (say which part you’re from)
I like your vibe, we should chill and see if we vibe. - you then transition that into asking her out. Have a date in mind before you ask, it’s more direct. Men should lead when setting up the first date.

You should start by reading books on conversation skills. There are literally hundreds of ways of speaking and communicating with other people, like:
Using sarcasm, humor, exaggerations, misinterpretation, assumptions, absurd responses, open ended questions, provocations, observations, story telling, anecdote sharing, imitations, inside jokes, playful accusations, teasing, flirting, pick up lines, conversational role games, fallacies, emotional speech, logical speech,… etc
You can read about some of this in books like this one

Lol. Still in the mindset of "I need to impress this girl to make her like me and give me her sex".

I usually tell them to come through to my house and watch TikTok compilations with me. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn’t. And I’m cool with that.

Talk about music and shows. That works and it’s a hook to get an easy date

I feel texting is so childish, I used to text a lot when I'm in university while living in mom's basement, not anymore, don't waste your time by giving her too much attention, if she expects to be a good texter, move on, someone who is serious wants you to be in person. Setup dates enjoy life. Your text should be plain and simple don't go extra miles to impress anyone.. Goodluck.
