Don't ask for her phone number. Come up with something you could do together and then exchange numbers. If you have a reason to exchange numbers doing it is much easier. Don't make a big deal out.

If you value the friendship, you would lay off getting at his sister. It sounds like he was at his limit with you. Instead, think about the likelihood of meeting a friend of hers. You would have a good social circle and that is of more value and opportunity than trying to play your friends sister for a number.

Friends sisters were off limits. Unless my friend was saying, "Here, meet my sister. I'm leaving.... you have fun." And even then, I'd be cautious.

Just realize that it's kind of scummy to go after your friend's sister. If she's the one coming onto you it's a bit different, but you are actively trying to get with her. A few of my friends tried doing this when I was younger and it just left a bad taste in my mouth. You should be friends with him for him, not to get in with his sister. If you're willing to ruin your relationship with him, go for it.

Nah homie. Don’t do it. One of my best friends had a sister who was HOT and SLUTTY. And she was after me hard, following me into the bathroom. Putting her hand down my pants.
