Be direct about attraction, do establish some sort of rapport, but be careful in your language and behaviour to not imply that you're looking for more than just casual sex.
Have the mindset of not expecting any loyalty from her either.

Disclaimer- I’m a woman.. the only guys I ever considered for a fwb situation were guys that were already my really good friends. Someone I was comfortable around, could vibe with and shoot the shit with. I never went looking for a fwb but the situation transpired sort of organically a few times and the sex was always hot bc it was with someone I already had a good amount of trust and respect for and visa versa. Now looking back, I dk how much work was put in on their end to make that happen lol.. but for me it always seemed to just kind of evolve into fwb instead of seeking it out specifically.

I can't think of something sexual with my friends as a man, though.
how can you guys do it really?
[–]leetcoder217 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
This! I think most men feel like you. Once a friend, always a friend.
[–]CuriousDetective0 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Where these guys like genuine friends, like they did not put you on a pedestal and would tease and make fun when the situation arose?
Or would you say they were nice guys who did put you on a pedestal before becoming FWBs?
[–]labyrinthlilith 6 points7 points8 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
They were genuine friends. It was a regular friendship before and there was never really an indication of them wanting or hoping for a sexual encounter on their end. Not that I ever picked up on anyways.
[–]CuriousDetective0 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Have you ever had guys pedestalize you? If so who did those interactions end?
[–]labyrinthlilith 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I have. And those situations were always difficult because I had enormous amounts of guilt that I didn’t share the same feelings. It hurt me to know that I was unintentionally hurting someone that I cared about and valued and enjoyed having in my life. Some of those guy friends eventually got past it, some didn’t. Overall, I still talk with them here and there and have never been on bad terms because of it. I still have crazy respect and love for all of them too.
I’ve also been on the receiving end of that type of situation before. Having a crush or feelings for a guy friend and him not feeling it. It’s a hard thing to deal with but there’s usually a lesson in it. Looking back, I was better off that those crushes/friends never turned into more because I wouldn’t be who and where I am in life if they had worked out like I wanted them to so badly.

That’s true. It’s amazing how random thoughts can be exploited by strangers on the internet.

When trying to keep things casual you need to be mindful of a few things. She needs to not feel slutty, and having sex with you needs to be a positive experience that 'just happens.'
When you're too blunt up front that you're looking for casual sex, the optics on it is that she's loose. She fears damage to her reputation. It's ingrained in female psychology that reputation is important, even though we live in huge cities now and not tribes.
So, you need to give her the experience of, "I met this guy we had a great connection" that leads to a hookup. There needs to be a narrative preceding the sex. It mitigates the slut factor. You're also the one that needs to escalate to this so she can disclaim any culpability for sex.

You again publicizing this book with alt accounts, it's ridiculous. /u/ItIsICoachCal would be proud

Yeah I find a link to that guide several times a day on that sub, from different accounts, it's crazy. The guide itself isn't even that good.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Did you buy it? I'll make it my personal task to link the full guide everytime this moron posts
[–]Unterseeboot_480 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It's free, but it does recommand a couple other guides at the end; checked only one of them, it's $30 if I remember it right, and reeks of so much incel fantasy shit that it's nauseating. Needless to say I closed the tab and cleared my history.
To get the "How to date any girl" ebook, you just have to subscribe to the mailing list. I subscribed, downloaded the guide and unsubscribed a few days after because as it turned out, that mailing list was shit.
I can send you the guide in a few hours, if you truly wish to commit to this task.

What do you mean by "never leads to anything"? Where are the brakes being put on and how are you handling that?
[–]btrpb 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You don't spell out your intentions. Date them, but keep it on the downlow, don't contact them too often. Then it's a question of how long you can spin that plate. It will suit some women...but make no mistake they will be sleeping with others too. Some women will keep pushing you for commitment, and then you have to stand your ground. They may put up with it, they may not.

I mainly pick up chicks at bars and have a few chicks I can hit up. Not really fwb, more of a booty call/night out sort of thing. Just take them out, make sure they have a good night, and close. Never mentioned anything about a relationship and they don’t have any intention of one and so we just hook up occasionally.

Bit late but my two cents:
Don’t be needy, but don’t be cold. Be friendly more than anything.
Be very chill
Most importantly, be good at fucking. If you want a girl to be in it for the sex, the sex has to be good. I’ve blown a couple of fwb relationships by not being on my A-game (hungover, tired, ect) one too many times and as a result found it very hard to get her to come back.

Hello! You have made the mistake of writing "ect" instead of "etc."
"Ect" is a common misspelling of "etc," an abbreviated form of the Latin phrase "et cetera." Other abbreviated forms are etc., &c., &c, and et cet. The Latin translates as "et" to "and" + "cetera" to "the rest;" a literal translation to "and the rest" is the easiest way to remember how to use the phrase.
