Nah, I don't think she'll think you've just wanted to friend her to get in her pants all along, as the other commenter said. I wouldn't anyway. After 4 years, I definitely wouldn't think that. Even if you had done that, it shows dedication so maybe points anyway.

Anyway, I would say "Hey do you ever wonder if we'd make a good couple? I can't seem to get it off my mind lately, and just thought I would put the feelers out to see how you might feel about it. No pressure obviously because you're a great friend either way"

Bro, show your interest through a change in actions not words especially since you’ve been friends for four years. Words might come off a little too strong right now. Have her wondering a bit and then when she asks what’s up that’s when you confess your feelings.

Lol. no. Hell no. Never tell girls you have a crush on them. Or that you have been liking them for a while in secret. Also never tell them things like “no pressure” or “with all due respect, but i like you a lot” or “it’s ok if you don’t like me like that” or “it’s ok if you say no”

Just don’t. Trust me. That’s literally some of the worst things you can do here. It projects both insecurity and inexperience with women which are not good things to show the girl.

If you want a girl you don’t tell her you have a crush. Instead you hit on her, you flirt sexually with her to build sexual tension with her. You tell her things like: “You are so cute when you smile at me like that” or “you are there kind of girl i would invite over to watch a movie, but not watch the movie”

You say things like that to show your intentions and then go for a kiss, you don’t ever say shit like “i really like you and i was wondering if you wanted to be more than friends”

No, instead you just flirt to build sexual tension and if she is feeling the tension then you play with her hands while you continue to sweet talk her and go for a kiss.

If she rejects your kiss, you should NOT say that you did it because “you have been liking her for a while,”… No! You never do the confession thing.

You only try to make things sexual, to raise the temperature to get her turn on, and that’s it, you don’t confess, you don’t reveal that you have a crush and you don’t say that you hope to be something serious with her.

Just don’t. What you do is try to escalate things physically and try to have sex or a kiss at the very least, and if that happens then you continue seeing each other without any boyfriend labels or whatever coextarions and continue to kiss and sleep together until the girl one day says that you two should make it official.

So you never confess and you never bring up having a relationship, you just try to make things hot, kiss and sleep with her over and over, and that’s it. Then the girl one day has to be the first one to ask for a serious thing which will only happen after you have been making out or sleeping together for a while.

The right order therefore is kiss, then sex and then relationship.

The wrong order therefore would be confessing, asking for relationship, then kissing and then sex.

You never tell her you have deep feelings for her ever to start something with her. Forget the peter parker bullshit of confessing your feelings hoping she says she feels the same way, that’s not how it works in real life
