I know a lot of guys out there have approach anxiety stopping them from approaching women - so they start searching around for ways to get rid of it.. I know when you do a youtube search, there are no shortages of guides.
But none of them work... And they shouldn't work..
I've been approaching women in clubs for 18 years now, which is how long ago it was that I first got involved in learning to pick up women - and I STILL have approach anxiety to this day.
Sure, it's often quite mild these days compared to when I was in my early 20s, but it's still sometimes very clearly there - especially if I've had a hard week, and the woman I want to talk to is my personal version of perfection.
The difference is that I can feel the anxiety and approach regardless... I have a very high willingness to approach in the face of anxiety.
And I think this is a mindset that more men need to get focussed on...
When we try to push any emotion away, it tends to re-enforce the emotion and if anything it makes that emotion stronger and more intimidating.
You're going to be scared of hot women - nobody wants social judgment - nobody likes being told they aren't good enough - which is always a possibility when you approach a woman.
Anxiety just means you're human.
Anxiety isn't a sign you aren't ready to approach a woman, it's a sign you WANT a good outcome and might not get it - it's a sign you haven't suppressed your emotions... it's a sign you aren't a sociopath!
I always tell guys before they go out - Don't visualise themselves going out and talking to women without any fear at all, like some Hollywood protagonist - instead, they should decide how many times they're willing to get rejected that night... go out thinking "I'm willing to have 10 women tell me I'm not good enough tonight - once I've reached that number, I'll ease off, think about what I'll do differently next time, and stop approaching new women for that night" - guys who do this, generally take a lot more action and so they make a lot more progress.
Willingness to fail and screw up will also mean that each rejection will take a lower emotional toll.
