Struck a conversation with a random girl on my college van, by asking her questions and then she started talking about her family, that she moved in from another town… we talked (well she did most of the talking) for pretty much the entire way until the van delivered me home.

I held steady eye-contact with her, she seemed a bit shy and would look down sometimes.
Then I broke the touch barrier by touching her arm softly to ask a question.

She didn’t break the touch barrier herself with me. Bad sign? Or should I just talk to her more and try asking her out?

Note: She would however also confidently and steadily hold her gaze on me a few times.
