Hello,
Long time lurker here, I had hoped to not write a thread for myself and fix my issue with all the information available but it seems I am unable to move forward.
I am a 27 year old male, never had sex and never had my first kiss. I would consider myself above average looks wise, I am tall, relatively fit and dress nicely.
My biggest issue when approaching girls is my ability to overthink everything. I find it extremely difficult to get out of my comfort zone because I am scared of what other people might think. In this case, because I have no experience kissing, does the person I am kissing think I am good/bad kisser? This mental hurdle stops me from experiencing new things. I know for a fact that whenever something goes right, for example I do kiss a girl and she likes it, I will approach more girls. However, as long as I don’t have this initial experience, which I keep postponing because of my overthinking I don’t see myself making progress whatsoever.
The thing is, I feel like I have to ‘prove’ myself that I am not the issue. Which puts a lot of pressure on me, which makes it even more difficult to approach a girl. I do notice girls dancing around me, grinding against me and making eye contact with me. However, I simply do not know what to do and I am more scared of success than failure in a way.
Furthermore, whenever I am under the influence I often care more about the music than the girls around me. However, when I wake up I can often kick myself in the face for the missed opportunities the night before.
What would you advice I do? I feel like this mental hurdle is starting to take its toll.
