So I met this girl online around a month ago and we have been on 4 dates, with each date getting better and better - we kissed on the last 2.

She seemed like she was really interested in me and she even said how she said I was borderline perfect and can’t see anything wrong with me (she had a few ‘bad exes).

On our fifth date (which now won’t happen) she even said she will invite me round hers and cook for me.

I have now just got a text from her saying she really likes me and enjoyed the time we spent and I’ve done nothing wrong but she doesn’t feel ready for anything right now and it’s getting her a bit anxious when she thinks about it. How should I respond to this? I wanna know why - what went wrong? What did I do wrong? We only saw each other a couple of days ago and it went so well. I’m so confused.

There’s only 2 things I can think of which might of made her think twice:

1). I mentioned to her that my friend wanted to go on a double date with me and her - maybe this worried her?

2). She mentioned that she has had sexual relations with other women before, I then asked her if she was straight and she said ‘yeah I think so’. Naturally I was slightly surprised and maybe she could see that but it didn’t bother me, and if she was worried what I would of thought then surely she should of spoken to me about it - this wasn’t a big deal and I’m probably grasping at straws but the dates always went well that I’m finding it hard to see what I could of done differently.

Man, I’m so upset. I’m honestly in a bit of shock, she always made so much effort to see me and I actually thought she was proper in to me. I really thought we had something special. We had so much in common and got along so well. I’m not an ugly guy but I don’t get much attention from women and stupidly thought maybe this is the one. Really sucks.
